Thanks! That means something coming from you. My skillz of a photographer are pretty remedial.
Tips? As the Beatles sang: Love, Love, Love. Also be prepared to lose all reservations about bodily fluids and processes. Practice diapering. Embrace diaper creams. Enjoy rest while you can control it.
You will ache for sleep. Unfortunately, humans cannot build a sleep reserve. Our first few nights home were pretty tame, but once the little one figures out what hunger is, you will fear her cry.
Babies are not patient or calm. This is your job.
Aerin passed this on the other day. It's a good site. Rough on the edges, but honest. I'll direct to the specific blog entry and you can explore the site from there. Pregnant Chicken.

Thanks for stopping in. The "regularly scheduled" stories/happenings/poetry/BS-ing will resume when my sleep schedule does. Until then, feel free to stalk the archives. There's some halfway-decent poems under the poetry tag http://bnagel.blogspot.com/search/label/Poetry.
